THE FORCE AWAKENS

Hello everybody!

I hope you spent ( and you are still spending) happy days with people you love during this Christmas holidays.

Yesterday was Saint Steven's day and my sister Giulia, my best friend Luisa and I went to the cinema to watch the brand new film of the Star Wars saga, the 7th, "The Force Awakens" (click on the title to listen to the famous theme).

Surely, you have already seen the trailer, but I put it here anyway, in case you want to see it again ;)

As usual, I won't summarise the plot. I don't dare saying anything about the scenes, so I will avoid any kind of spoilers ( it's Star Wars, I would risk life and limb).

The first thing I have to confess is that I never saw a Star Wars film before.
I don't know why, maybe it's because I thought that this kind of films were not for me: I love films based on novels and the ones who show the life of real person (as "The Imitation Game", whose review can be found in one of my previous post - click here to read it, if you want).

But Yesterday I realize that this film is much more than a space film, with spectacular spaceships, strange aliens and humanized robots. This is what I believed before watching it and I'm happy now because I have changed my point of view.

BB 8 thumbs up (here the scene)

The day before the film (basically, at Christmas), my sister described me the previous episodes and she kept on saying that, even if I don't know the story, I could see it anyway, because it's a new chapter.

I think that this film has a double purpose: as my sister and my bf suggested, all the staff who worked to release it, want to skake (virtually) the hand with the "old" fans, showing that they're back again full of new ideas and a new "force" and they also want to captivate new fans, like me, displaying important themes like justice, friendship, family, courage and loyalty in a very special way..

The thing I appreciate the most is the fact that there are both new characters and "old" ones, performed by the same actors you can recognize in the preceding films: this gives continuity to the saga and it seems that they all are a part of a big family.

The film is breathtaking, with spectacular scenes, passionate characters and funny "creatures" with deep feelings (as the sweet BB-8).

Star Wars has now a new fan, who will watch for sure the whole saga from the very start and who can't wait to see the next episode.

"MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU"

Yours, Silvia
